Why did you want to do the TAA/TAE Cert IV?
I regularly get bursts of enthusiasm to do some form of study; a colleague was doing this course and passed on an invitation from Fortress. Training is a big part of my role, I had previously done 3 subjects with another provider and found it quite boring so wasn’t too sure if this was what I wanted to do but wanted to finish the course.
Why did you choose to do the TAE with Fortress Learning?
My work colleague was quite pleased with Fortress and I also spoke to another person within our organisation and they recommended Fortress.
How long did it take you to do it?
5 months
Did you do the full course, RPL, or a combination?
Combination
How painful was the RPL process?
Not painful at all, It gave me the incentive to research further, often I spent more time than needed on a subject as I wanted to look at all aspects and have complete understanding. It was presented well, in a simple format. I asked for everything to be sent first up, this was great as I could just work through what was required at my leisure.
What worked for you?
All of it! Very clear and easy to understand. Staff are great! Very prompt to respond if you have a query. The course is very well organised, mixture of simple tasks and more challenging ones which creates a balance. Liked it presented in task forms which gave me the incentive to move onto the next.
What didn’t work for you?
Not a thing!
What advice would you give to others considering studying this course in this way?
Fortress has different options to suit different people. This course is flexible to suit most busy lifestyles and has ongoing support to help you achieve your goals if needed.
Is there anything else you’d like to include?
Bryan and his staff are very warm and friendly while presenting a professional service. A bit of Humor goes a long way when studying.
