Sometimes you just need to know what to do so you can just get on with the job of getting things done.

This is why we developed our second pathway. Sometimes called The Self-Serve option, our Assessment Only Pathway puts you in the driver’s seat.

These programs are structured to allow you to do three things:

1. Decide which units you can undertake as part of your chosen qualification (or qualifications – you can do more than one at a time)

2. Work out which units you are likely to gain full or partial RPL for, and guide you in collecting the evidence for this.

3. Complete the coursework needed to fulfill requirements of the parts that you cannot complete through RPL.

What do I get when I finish?

You get a nationally recognised qualification issued by Fortress Learning, RTO No. 31974. For many people this qualification opens many exciting new opportunities within your existing role or to expand your horizons.

How long does it take?

This is really up to you. We will endeavour to help you get your Certificate IV in as short as time as possible and estimate the process for most people will take between 6 weeks and 4 months.

What is the Personal Learning Plan (PLP)?

For us, making you jump through the same hoops as everyone else just doesn’t make sense.

That’s why developed the Personal Learning Plan.

With the Assessment Only Pathway, the PLP becomes your roadmap.

We provide you with the tools to develop your own PLP.

You can do it yourself, or we can do it for you. It costs an additional $115 for us to do it, but students tell us this is a worthwhile investment.

Your Personal Learning Plan becomes your unique roadmap for how you can make your way through your course. It reflects your unique set of knowledge and skills, and uses your preferred learning style as a basis for how things are done.

It will tell you exactly which tasks you need to do, which other items of evidence you need to provide to support any Recognition of Prior Learning claim, and a step-by-step guide to doing it all with the least hassle.

Fortress Learning recognises that sometimes people just want to get things done.

Did you know that across all training organisations and all courses in Australia, only about 50% of people who start a course will end up finishing it?

That means that quite often people are paying for things that they do not use. When it comes to face to face training, I understand the need to charge students even if they are not in the room – after all, the fixed costs are enormous even if you don’t turn up. But, when it comes to online education, things are different.

We know that not everyone who starts will finish. Instead of worrying about it, we decided to see it as an opportunity to provide a better service.

What do we do?

We created a pricing model that is really quite simple:

1. You pay an upfront fee to gain access to all the resources you will need.
2. When you are ready to be assessed, you submit your work and make a second payment to be assessed.

If you never get to the stage of submitting your work, you never get charged to be assessed.

How much is it for a single qualification?

For a single qualification, pay $200 upfront and then $450 when you are ready to be assessed.

That is a total of $650.

Can I apply for more than one qualification, and what is the cost?

For up to three* qualifications from Certificate IV or Diploma, pay $400 upfront and then $800 when you are ready to be assessed.

That is a total of $1200, or $400 per qualification.
