Feedback: to keep your learning moving forward.

People 1c

Every now and then, a graduating student writes a Review that we believe really captures what we try to do.  Instead of them ending up hidden among the others, we will share them with you, and try to explain why we think they are so appropriate.

Nicole:

My assignments were always marked very promptly with thoughtful and practical feedback provided.

William:

I was impressed with the timely marking of my assessments and the constructive and very useful feedback provided.

Why did these particular testimonials comment get our attention?

Effective learning depends upon an open, constructive relationship between trainer and student.  Our trainers understand this – that their role is to guide you through the unknown; to help you bridge the gap between where you are now and where you need to be to meet the requirements of your qualification.

We will not allow the online mode of delivery to thwart this relationship. In fact, we’ll use it to foster this relationship.

Your learning relies on a fluid, progressive conversation with your trainer.  This is why our feedback is always prompt – to keep the dialogue going; to keep your learning moving forward.

If you have missed the mark, then through our feedback, we try to make clear 3 things:

  1. Where and why the mark was missed
  2. What to do differently next time
  3. What to do if you still don’t get it.

Our job is to communicate effectively with you, in a way that works best for you – you like to talk? We’ll talk.  You like to read? We’ll write.  You want to see? We’ll show you.

And, when it feels like it’s too much, we’ll break it down for you.

… Open, constructive relationships – at Fortress Learning, we are with you, for you.
