Funding for 2021
We have received advice that additional funding is available for the Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers (SCOW) Funding program, from 4 January, 2021.
If you are between 45-70, you may be eligible for the federal government’s Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers program which will match any fees you pay, dollar for dollar up to $2200.
This program is administered by either Busy At Work or VERTO, depending on where you live.
Step 1. Check your eligibility

Eligible individuals are those who are:
- aged 45 to 70
- an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- employed and at risk of entering the income support system, or
- recently unemployed (within three months) and
- not registered for assistance through an Australian Government employment services program (e.g. jobactive, Disability Employment Service, Community Development Programme).

The Skills Checkpoint provider you use will depend on where you live.

Note: The funding is capped each year, and experience tells us that there will not be places available all year. If you are thinking of accessing this funding, we would encourage you to act quickly.

When you are ready to enrol, come back and join us
