Every now and then, a graduating student writes a Review that we believe really captures what we try to do.  Instead of them ending up hidden among the others, we will share them with you, and try to explain why we think they are so appropriate.

Ankit Sharma: What did he say?

I have recently finished my double diploma in VET and training design and development (TDD) and would like to state that this has been by far my best experience as far as online learning is concerned.

My trainer Dr. Bryan west was always insightful, flexible and generous with his time. One of my concerns (based on my past experiences) was the amount of time trainers provide to learners in online learning. At the time of enrolment Dr. west assured me that i would not have any issues in that regard with Fortress and i must say it was as true to form as it could have been. Apart from my trainer the rest of the staff was also always friendly and responsive. Thank you all.

All in all it was a fantastic experience all round and i can’t recommend this company enough. You can’t go wrong with them!

People often assume that online learning means isolated learning whereby a person signs up, receives their learning material and is pretty much left to their own devices from there – with little to no direct contact with their elusive trainer.

At Fortress Learning, this is most definitely not the case.  We would argue that as an online training organisation, we can give more one-on-one attention to our students than trainers can often give in face-to-face environments. In a classroom, trainers are required to split their time among several learners, all at once.  This can often result in tremendous frustration when time (the session) and resources (the trainer) are so limited.  With Fortress Learning, we can give you our time – just you; your situation; your questions.   Often, you get to choose when that time best suits you.

How do we do this?  We invite you to call us, to speak with us, when you have a question.  And, when we notice that we haven’t heard from you in a while, we get in touch – we phone you, we email you.

We don’t want students feeling angsty and overwhelmed by uncertainty when the answer is as simple as a phone call or email.  We can also Skype, Google Hangout, Zoom… whatever suits.

When we say we’re here to support you, we mean it.
